Come enjoy the beauty and majesty of a summer-in-Montana backdrop for our worship on August 18th at 9:30am! We will have a full service, including communion, in the courtyard at the church. Big mountains, big sky, and bigger God!
We thank God for the election of our new bishop elect, Reverend Dr. Laurie Jungling. She will serve the Montana Synod of the ELCA for a six-year term, beginning with her installment, scheduled for September 21st, right here at ORLC!
Join us Sunday morning, July 14th, at 9:30am for a special outdoor worship service. Bring your own lawn chair and get ready to sing, pray, and worship God together, in the beautiful outdoors of Helena, Montana!
Today we give thanks to God for 17 of our youth graduating high school! Many of them are going on to college, technical school, or entering the workforce. Please keep them in your prayers as they transition into adulthood and a new chapter in their lives:
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we move to a single service at 9:30am on Sunday’s. This is a great chance to see friends that normally attend other services.
Our midweek Lenten worship will focus on exploring the dimensions of God’s love for us and the love of Christ that we share. Beginning with March 14, Thursday evenings will begin with a soup supper at 5:30 followed by worship at 6:30. Our Lenten reflections will be offered by Pastors and Lay associates from Our Redeemer’s, St. John’s and New Life Lutheran congregations.

Good Friday

On this solemn day we recall the suffering and death of Christ at the hands of sinners. Many Lutherans remember this day with quiet prayer, reflection, fasting, and many other practices.

Finally, he is risen! The vigil celebrates the end of the Lenten season with symbols of light, hope, and grace.

Easter Sunday continues the celebration of the vigil; most members will attend either the vigil or the Sunday service.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35-39
Sunday, March 3rd at Noon (immediately following service), please join us for lunch and open discussion of our 11:00am contemporary “Rejoice” service. We will discuss how we can better serve the congregation and improve our worship experience together. Questions include:
Is the liturgy important to you? What parts?
What is music’s role in worship?
How has worship evolved? How should it continue to do so?
All are welcome, but we especially request the presence of members that regularly attend the 11:00 o’clock service. If you are interested in sharing your feedback or knowing what’s going on, please join us!
