Issues with the Livestream

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge that we have some issues with our livestream cutting out, stuttering, losing audio, and more. This does not happen all the time or even every week, but it is overtly distracting when it does. This happens for a variety of reasons and a recent investigation indicated that some of these are outside our control. For example, the stream on Sunday, November 10th was very stuttery. Apparently, all of Helena was experiencing connection issues at this time. The age and condition of our equipment may also contribute to some of our issues. Our livestream setup was purchased during Covid and has not been updated. Finally, we are grateful to have a new livestream technician and are hopeful that her work will minimize these issues.

We are taking steps to address issues to the best of our ability. These include looking into incremental upgrades in the equipment within our existing budget. We also plan to start recording a “backup” alongside the livestream. That way, if the stream has issues, we can re-upload the backup.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through these issues. We would love to have more resources to devote to the livestream, but recognize the importance of using our limited resources wisely for the good of our church, our community, and our world. Thank you also for your continued support of our collaborative ministries, be it financial support, helping pay down the mortgage, volunteering time, helping lead worship, and more! We are so blessed to have such a community.
