Lent in a Bag is a tool for families to use as they journey through the season of Lent beginning Wednesday, February 17th through Easter. This year’s bag contains NEW activities and is intended for use at home.
There are 6 weekly activities, one for each week of Lent. The last activity follows through Holy Week – the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.
Each weekly activity includes an introduction, a scripture reading, discussion questions, a secular story, an activity, and a prayer. All links to stories and songs are found conveniently located below.
We encourage you to spend time together during this season of Lent reflecting in prayer, fasting, giving, and works of love with our whole church and community. Consider sharing your highs and lows, along with where you have seen God at work in your life during the day.
This year, our congregation will also have the Stations of the Cross posted outside along the Benton Avenue boulevard. Each week, new images will be displayed depicting the life of Christ for all to view. We welcome all to participate and a pamphlet explaining more is enclosed.
Lent in a Bag kits can be picked up at the church office.
Our hope is your family experiences Lent and Easter together in a meaningful way.
Peace and Blessings to you!
