in-person worship suspended

Due to the changing conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person worship will be suspended beginning Wednesday, October 14th. We consider this to be temporary but are unable to predict how long this might continue.
Alternative Worship Opportunities
  • We will continue a live stream worship every Sunday at 9:30 am. All worship services are archived at www.ourredeemerlives.org.
  • We will celebrate Holy Communion during the livestream worship. We invite you to prepare communion elements (bread, wine, grape juice) at home. During worship we will share communion “virtually.”
  • Every Monday at 5:30pm, Wednesday at 3:00pm, and Friday at 11:00am we will offer Service of the Word. This brief service includes scripture and prayer.
  • The second Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-7:00 pm we will offer drop-in communion in the sanctuary.
All Saints Sunday
On All Saints’ Sunday we remember especially the saints of the church and the saints who have died in the last year. We are inviting you to send pictures of your saints, people you would like to remember in worship. You may send pictures via e-mail or you may bring them to the church office, and we can scan them.. The pictures will be used in a special presentation during All Saints’ worship on November 1. We will need your pictures by October 26. You may send your pictures to [email protected]

Spooky Spaces Event

Join us Sunday, October 25th from 2pm – 3:30pm.
In this year of many changes and challenges, we hope to still provide a safe opportunity to children to still enjoy the fun of the fall season. We have developed a new way of doing Trunk-or-Treat safely and socially distanced. We are calling it Spooky Spaces!
Our Redeemer’s is planning a drive-thru Halloween in which members of the congregation will adopt a parking space to decorate their trunk or the area in general for families to drive through. To add to the fun, we ask that each group have a unique item that can be used as a part of a scavenger hunt for participants. We will also have outdoor photo stations decorated with seasonal décor for families to take fun pictures together at the end. Join us for the fun!
Help by signing up for a Spooky Space or donating candy. Questions?! Contact Jackie by calling the church office at 442-7842 or emailing her at [email protected]

What’s Going On at Church?

Worship schedule:

  • Sunday’s at 9:30am
  • Wednesday’s at 6:30pm

We are doing our best to provide the important service of worship and sacraments, while navigating the pandemic. See our COVID-19 Plan here for protocols. If you are sick, vulnerable to COVID, or otherwise feel as though you should not come to worship, please stay home and be safe! We will continue to offer online worship; you can tune into here.

• Confirmation classes for 6-8th grade students will resume (email Pastor Kendra for details).

• SafeHouse (high school youth group) and KidzEd (grades K-5) are resuming Wednesday evening from 7:15pm – 8:00pm (later for HS kids). Contact Jackie or Liz for details.

• Plans for high festival days are underway. We plan to release a special video of Lessons & Carols with scripture readings from congregation members and special musical and virtual choir performances from our ensembles. This will be released on Thanksgiving Day.

• Most outside groups that use the church are on hold. However, we are currently working with special groups (such as Helena Food Share and the Scouts) to facilitate their use of the building in a safe manner.

• Every day, Pastor Arne sends our Your Daily Encouragement emails to offer hope, strength, and the Word of God to those in need. Please contact Jason to be included on the email list.

• Private communion service is offered monthly at Touchmark. Email Pastor Kendra for details.

• If we can reach out to you, if you are in need, have questions, or help, please reach out to one of our pastors.

We are doing everything we can to keep our community of believers and spread the Word of God, during this difficult time. God be with you and stay safe!

Join Us Wednesday’s at 6:30pm

Welcome to our brand new Spark Worship service! This is a full worship service, including Lutheran liturgy, upbeat and fun music, and communion. We are hoping this will be a fun and energetic worship environment where generations of folks can intermingle and praise God together.

Our first six weeks will be in a liturgy series called Unraveled, where we explore bible stories of lives and plans unraveling. How do people in the bible respond to God’s undoing of plans? How do we respond? In a world of pandemic, this is particularly relevant.

September 16 – Luke 19:1-10 (the story of Zacchaeus)
September 23 – Exodus 5:1-2; 7:8-23 (Pharaoh’s hard heart)
September 30 – Jeremiah 29:1-7 (the exiled Israelites)
October 7 – John 4:1-29 (the woman at the well)
October 14 – John 20:19-29 (doubting Thomas)
October 21 – Job 28:12-28 (Job’s lament and loss)
