Parental Covenant

 Because the home is the primary place of Christian formation we agree to the following practices. Trusting in the work of the Holy Spirit we pray that God will use these practices to bring our children to lasting faith in Jesus.

  • We will pray with our child everyday that we are together.

 

  • Our family will do devotions together once a week. Devotions consists of reading a portion of scripture together, discussing what it means and how it might apply to our lives and then praying together.

 

  • We will worship with our child in church, sitting together at least once a week.

 

  • Our family will do two service projects for those in need this WOW year. One before Christmas and one after Christmas.

 

  • We will help our child memorize the assigned WOW memory verse each week.

 

  • We will discuss tithing with our child and together determine what our family’s offering to the church will be.

 

  • Understanding that attending WOW may require sacrifices, our family will make WOW a priority and make sure our child has good attendance. We will inform our child’s WOW guides if for some reason our child will not be at WOW.
